Creative Explorers Spring Term 1 - Nurture KS3 & KS4.

This term in Creative Explorers we have been working on promoting peace and dealing with conflicts.  Using a range of activities, we have explored acceptance and empathy, mindfulness and self-regulation as well as conflict resolution.

Some of our students made wonderful bright dreamcatchers from natural materials which are hung in the Creative Explorers area. Other students have created their own flags using flower petals to dye the material as well as using these flags to take part in a game of risk to help the explore competitiveness in a controlled and calm way.  We also made our own pinwheels to brighten up the Creative Explorers area and promote mindfulness and acceptance within the school. 

Students have been really engaged and enjoyed the time creating things outside and learning how our differences make us great and how everyone has feelings just like yours. Its lovely to see how well they all took this onboard and have been actively kind and helpful to other students in the school.
