Early Help is all about helping the young person and puts the family at the heart of everything we do.
These pages have been developed as a resource for parents to access a range of materials from useful websites to helpful documents that we hope will provide extra support at the time it’s most needed.
At SSSC we offer Early Help through our Pastoral Team lead by Mrs England and consisting of the Headteachers, Family Liaison Workers, SENCo, Deputy SENCo and Positive Support team. The Family Liaison Workers’ role is to develop close working relationships with parents and carers to ensure our young people have access to the opportunities and services to which they are entitled.
Our Positive Support team offers early intervention for our young people. This is bespoke work which is delivered on a one to one basis. This may consist of working through things including Bereavement, self-esteem, self-confidence, anxiety, helping our young people with transitions, anger management and social interaction.
The Pastoral Team overlook each child’s well-being, mental health and safeguarding. The Pastoral Team works closely but has identified roles allowing pupils to engage with different staff and approaches.
If you need to contact our school regarding Early Help please contact the school on 01773 602198 asking for Mrs Claire Moody or Miss Kerrie Harkin.
