Creativity and expression are encouraged and celebrated at SSSC and we see it as an essential part of our young peoples development.
Our Art provision gives all young people the opportunity to access and produce outstanding work and performances either individually or as part of a group. These opportunities are provided either through weekly designated lessons.
All young people have the opportunity to access visits to various theatres, museums, arts performances and a range of different cultural experiences. These visits and on-site events enable our young people to celebrate cultural differences and provide further inspiration for all areas within the arts.
In addition, at KS4 pupils can do a two-year Fine Art GCSE. During this course pupils will take part in art workshops to experiment with a range of media and techniques. They will visit galleries, outdoor sculpture parks and local exhibitions to broaden their cultural understanding and make links with future careers in the arts.
